FIXATIVE
DESCRIPTION
Water-based product ideal for both consolidating and preparing wall surfaces before applying water-based paint. It is also an ideal fixative for difficult surfaces able to even out the absorption of wall paints to favor the coverage and homogeneity of the color: for this reason, the preventive application our Acrylic Fixative Paint Up is ideal as a treatment before the application of any high-end wall paint.
Specifically formulated for plasterboard, new walls, old and very porous plaster, Paint Up Acrylic Fixative has good resistance to alkaline substances and high penetrating power.
A product with high environmental performance, Paint Up Acrylic Fixative has low VOC emissions (maximum 10 g/L).
PRODUCT PREPARATION AND APPLICATIONS

On already painted walls, remove any loose parts, and treat with suitable fillers. Once the grouts are dry, remove any dust and dirt. Finally treat with Paint Up Acrylic Fixative to even out the surface. The first coat of water paint can be applied after 24 hours.

On new and never-painted walls, wait after completion at least 30 days before any further work. Brush, remove any loose parts and treat where necessary with suitable fillers. Once the fillers are dry, remove any dust and dirt. Finally, treat with Paint Up Acrylic Fixative. The first coat of water paint can be applied after 24 hours.
Airless paint sprayer:
– dilution up to 600% by volume of water
– nozzle diameter: 0.46-0.53 mm
– nozzle pressure: 165 Mpa/Atm
Brush or roller:
– dilute with 200% to 600% water by volume, mix well and apply.
Paint Up Acrylic Fixative should be applied on dry and properly prepped surfaces.
After application, the surface should no longer show chalking. Excessive application should be avoided and the recommended dilutions instructions should be followed according to the tool used.
N.B.
Proper surface preparation is essential to ensure optimal durability of the materials used.
CAUTION: The products are non-toxic, but some people may be allergic to certain components, thus the use of latex gloves is necessary during mixing and during application.
Use adequate dust mask during the sanding stages.
